Are you looking for a prime destination for outstanding movies, music, and special events? Look no further than New London’s Little Theater.
The Little Theater has a series of events designed to transcend space and time, and showcase performers whose talents will leave the audience mesmerized.
The lights dim, and the theater darkens as depictions of clouds looming in the sky come into focus. Every shade of monochrome flickers across the screen. The only glimmer of light in the blackness comes not from the moon, but from the image of cigarette tips just before their ashes fall to the cold stony ground below.
Welcome to Rialto Revisited at the Little Theater.
A joint effort between the Little Theatre and New London Roaming, Rialto Revisited showcases the storied history of the cinema. Using 21st-century technology, the Little Theater is committed to ensuring these public domain, and independent films continue to transcend time, allowing future generations to not miss out on these cinematic marvels.
Stop by one Sunday and enjoy a free showing of such classic films as Caesar and Cleopatra, and Battle of the Worlds.
Afterward, try a refreshing beverage at the Little Theater’s Auditorium Bar. Whether it’s a mid-century tiki drink, golden-age cocktail, wines from Hinterland Vineyards, or a good old fashioned Coca-Cola, the Auditorium Bar will no doubt have something to wet your whistle.
The New London Story Show
“The New London Story Show” is sold out for November 17th as Heather King, owner of Flyleaf Book Shop, presented “Pilgrimage.” This live theater event blasts Reading Rainbow out of the water, giving enthusiastic local writers a chance to showcase their true personal stories, centered around a theme. These are passionate, compelling, merry, and always heartfelt tales.
Come out and show your support for these sensational storytellers. Watch for future events with tickets available at Eventbrite for $10.
Flyleaf Book Club
Speaking of Flyleaf Book Shop, customers can browse amongst the thousands of quality used books for purchase at their Willmar and New London locations. And forget the randomness you find at national book chain stores. Each volume at Flyleaf has been meticulously reviewed and only added to the shelves after careful deliberation. Flyleaf has built a reputation as the place to find great used books in excellent condition.
If you enjoy the stories at The New London Story Show, join the Flyleaf Book Club. Members are happy to answer the question, “what is a flyleaf?”
